2. Why have Americans always been afraid of certain groups of immigrants? Are there legitimate economic, social, or political reasons to fear people from outside the United States?
3. How have the problems of the city led to political reform? Has this political reform been positive or negative in the long run?
4. Should the United States government regulate economic activity? What are the benefits of this regulation? What are the costs?

Should immigration in the United States be limited? That is a tough question. I personally don't think that immigration should be limited.Just the ones that are here illegally. If an immigrant comes to the united states and work hard. To me they should have the right to migrate to wherer ever they want. Immigration opene up many oppurtunity for others.
I believe that immigrants come to the united states because they feel that they have a better oppurtunity to suceed than whereever they was coming from. Almost every immmigrant that comes to the united states. plan on getting thier green card so they could work. There is also enough space in the united states that allow legal immigrant in the united states.
Also whn immigrants come to the united states. They leave thier family back at home. Thier plan is for them to work really hard. Save up evry penny so someday they can be able to bring thier family to the united staes legally. The immigrants that come to the united states that decides not to work at all screw every thing up for those that came to work hard.
Most americans are restrictive towards immigrants because they feel that they only came over to take jobs away from americans. Immigrants get hire because they work really hard while on the job.
Illegal immigrants are found working in many sectors of the U.S. economy. According to National Public Radio, about 3 percent work in agriculture; 33 percent have jobs in service industries, and substantial numbers can be found in construction and related occupations (16 percent), and in production, installation and repair (17 percent).[4] According to USA Today, about 4 percent work in farming; 21 percent have jobs in service industries; and substantial numbers can be found in construction and related occupations (19 percent), and in production, installation and repair (15 percent), with 12% in sales, 10% in management, and 8% in transportation.
Is hard to suceed in the united states as an immigrant. There are many that have. Most of the immigrants that come to the united states illegally end up back in thier country. Most illegal immigrants try to beat the system but it does not work. There have been plenty succesful immigrants like Carlos Mencia, George Lopez, and Rick sanchezto just list a few.
I am commenting to polo ran - I agree that immigration should not be limited as long as the immigrants are willing to work and they are legal. They SHOULD limit immigration if those immigrants are illegal. I agree that immigrants only come to get work but it's not good that they take jobs from Americans. Good job
i am commenting on polo ran post -
i agree with polo ran's comments in that people should be able to immigrate to the united states if it is legal. Many people dont realize that at somepoint in their ancestry someone had been an immigrant since, only the native americans are the only ones native to the land. People should have the right to hace an opportunity to make a better life because being limited to where you are at is not very fair unless you are trying to take advantage of the system and come to the united states illegally.
Randy, i do agree with you about how most immigrants think that they'll get a better life coming to America, i think immigrants should be able to come for any reason only if it's legal too. I didn't know that americans felt that immigrants were taking their jobs and i didnt know that everything that immigrants work in like the aggriculture service industrices, etc. good job.
Commenting on Polo ran: I agree that immigrants that wants to improve their life styles legally should be allowed to come to the United States. The United States has a lot of freedom compared to other places and thats what most people are seeking. I don't think people should get mad that their taking the jobs, that just means that they have to work twice as hard. Your opinion on the sitiuation was good to read. Hope to read more on the topic.
This is responding to polo ran's blog--I agree with you that immigrants come to america to seek better opportunities and succeed. I don't think agree about immigration bein unlimited, yes people should be able to come here and do what they have to do to make money but I think there has to be at least some limit, not a lot but enough. Good blog you got your point across.
I'm commenting on poloran. Wow, that's all really shocking. Immigrants work so hard just to get theirs, while we somewhat *cough* lazy Americans complain that they take all the jobs we have no intention of doing. I enjoyed your blog, poloran, but a word of advice. You need to proofread because there were several grammatical errors. Also, you're supposed to leave the url to your blog, as opposed to simply posting it right there. Thank you!
i dont agree with ur essay 100 percent. its not true that most illegal imigrants end up in their country. actually most of them are sucessful and end up staying. legal immigrants often like it better in their country and travel back and forth.i do agree that immigrants get crappy jobs and they dont take them away from americans because americans would probably not work under the conditions immigrants do.
yo my boy polo ran good job i agree with you all the way keep up the good stuff
